| Thats correct...The CZ is a bit like Sako or Ruger in that they have rails or dovetails milled into the top of the action...All you need to the dedicated ring mounts which usually come with the rifle.. |

| bartsche has it right. Some CZ's come with rings, others don't. Peter.

| CZ 550 Americans come with rings. Some rings, however, like to hide in the box so go through the box with a fine tooth comb. If the rings are not there, talk to your dealer. The rings are good. They are built like a tank and as sturdy as one too. Tom Purdom |

| I bought Warne rings for my 527 (which DID come with rings)- the Warnes have a screw to serve as the recoil lug on the rear ring, it was too large for the recoil lug slot in the base.
Don't know about the Warnes for the 550, research would be suggested if you want to go with aftermarket rings. |

CZ Rings that is?
Yes. the base is the receiver! The separate pieces are just rings. That fellow needs to know the difference between bases and rings. Myabe he does, and just misspoke..... When I bought my two, a 550 and a 527, I had to buy the rings separately.

Perhaps the dealer got into the box before you did. roger

| The dealer here that carries CZ will sell you the rings that come in the box. They tell you when you order the gun they will go ahead and "order" rings and then sell those that are included.....
If you know they come with rings you can gripe enough and get them for free. Once I found this out I quit going there. |

| I beleive that with CZ if the rifle has sights it does not come with rings if no sights then it comes with rings. My new CZ American Safari Magnum in 416 Rigby did not come with rings. |

I bought mine at Gander Mountain, and the rings had to be got from the "back room" somewhere. I also bought a CZ .17 HMR that day, and now I don't remember if I paid for the 527 rings or not. |

| Like someone mentioned..I have the catalog and it says the rifles that come clean come with rings - those with iron sights don't.
I overheard the owner of the local gunshop here telling the guy ordering a 550 American about how he would go ahead and order a set of rings to go with it..I'm almost positive they take out the rings and charge for em. |

| Both of my 527's came with rings in the box with the rifle. Both rifles had no iron sights. My two CZ 452's had no rings in the box, and neither rifle had iron sights. Not sure what CZ's criteria is for ring inclusions is, but maybe for the 550's and 527's with irons, they don't include rings with the new rifle.? Don Don

| My 550 American Safari Mag did NOT come with rings. The rifle came with the safety manual, warranty card, test target, some kind of tool (have not figured it out yet) and a warranty statement. I bought Warne rings.

| Some variations of CZ550s come with rings, some don't. My Safari Magnum and FS did not. I use Leupold VariXIII 1.5-5x20s in Warne QDs on both of them.

| call CZ with the model # and ask if the rifle comes with rings. If it does then he's probably tring to make an extra $50 off you. |
