Hey NGA, Though I'm right partial to S&S, that is a fine looking B&W rifle. As I looked at it, I was wondering, "Why in the world would he want to trade this rifle off?" 1. Because it is a Ruger and he is obviously a Remington fan? 2. Because it is B&W and he is afraid to take it outside? 3. Because it has a scope with a "stunted" Objective? 4. Because his wife told him to? 5. Barrel totally shot out and only holds 0.75MOA? 6. Using Lead pistol bullets to plink with is too cheap and will embarrass him at the next Airdale wine and cheese party? 7. Not enough recoil to rattle his fillings loose? Can't be because of the excellent caliber. So, which one of the above is it? No whinning, just tell the truth.

Here is my beloved 35Whelen - what do you think of the walnut stock that I traded the boat paddle synthetic stock for?

Sometimes I create assignments for rifles that get looking neglected and lonley. For instance I have two 300 savages, one of them does a wonderfull job of shooting my cast bullets for lots of fun inexpensive plinking and the other is a back up deer rifle. Ive got a 1903 Springfield that keeps whispering "Whelen" in my ear. Of corse if I did that, I would have to start working toward a Bison "assignment" for that rifle..

HotCore: 1. It is a Ruger, MKII, that will feed empty cases. And I really like it that way. 2. If I own a rifle, it goes to the field whether it is S&S, B&W, or S&W (the 375 is stainless/walnut). 3. The scope is 'stunted' in perfect proportion to the task at hand. 4. The wife thinks this one is the prettiest. 5. The barrel has had less that 40rounds through it. 6. The Airedales we hang out with prefer Mountain Dew and saltines, and fine rifles that can handle hog & bear. 7. She recoils straight as an arrow. So the answer is 8. "Keep it because of all of the above" Thanks, NorthGaAire
