I have a Supergrade 270 win and a Safari express 375 , both from the early 2000s New Haven make. They have the same size bottom metal. I picked up a factory long action sporter LT stock, supposedly from the same era, but it is cut out for smaller bottom metal. The 270 supergrade barreled action fits the stock, but the bottom metal is clearly much different (longer). The question is did the Supergrade long actions (and Safaris) have different bottom metal than the standard sporters? If so is this still the case with the new rifles? Thanks

Your barreled action has the William's floorplate most likely. The stock can be cut for it.

Thanks Bandito, after more internet searching, I think I'm figuring out all of the model 70 bottom metal configurations.
