Does anyone know what bases / mounts will work with the Mauser model 66? Thanks.

There was a thread about 4-5 months ago I think covering this.

I have a Mauser 66 and havan old original set of bases but the won't work anymore because of the increase of the size in scope eyepieces - bolt won't clear.

Search for the thread "Mauser m660 PEMs scope base" It has Photos.

Howdy,
I am going thru the Mauser 66 scope mounting thing too. You appear to have three choices, CONETROL, EAW and NECG. The only really proper mount is an original Mauser mount. Discovered right away that my "Odd ball" 7x57mm M66 has a problem in addition ot the eye relief because the bolt handle rises too high. Am waiting for a set of maximum height rings from CONETROL right now. In any case, you have to pay a pretty stiff price to use a M-66, and I have two different ones.

This originally had Conetrol bases with two different height rings.

If you want to play with weavers.. the rear is a dead match for a front Mauser 98. I made the front out of a weaver .375 blank. With Leup. QRW rings.

I mounted an EAW swingout on my son-in-law's 7x64.
