I just bought some for my 9.3x62 and thought I'd try them when the gun is finished and ready to shoot.
Does anyone use these or have good or bad experiences with them?
I looked them up on the Norma website but not much info there on any of their bullets.
Thanks

I have a box in 9.3mm but haven't used them yet.

I'm pretty sure they're just a cup and core bullet, so I plan only to use them in practice - when I can start practicing again, that is. thumbdown

The first Alaska bullets, which made them legends here in Scandinavia, were made of a nickel-alloyed jacket. Theese were very good bullets at moderate speeds. Then someone found out there were some dangerous stuff in the nickel-alloy, and for the last 15-10 yeras or so, they have been made with the same jacket as the rest of Normas bullets, a copper-alloy called tambak. The Alaska bullet of today is therefore softer and more brittle than the original, and IMO not nearly as good as the original, but at moderate veloities still an OK bullet.

I have used the Norma factory 9.3x74R ammo with the 285 Alaska bullet. Everything I have shot went down in its tracks or within 20 yards including a cape buffalo so my personal experience has been positive.
