Anyone put a Leupold VX-6 scope on a Cooper 52? I am thinking about crying once and going all the way to the VX-6, but when I looked at one that 30mm tube seemed really really large and I am worried it will look weird and sort of top-heavy on my 52. The Cooper has a synthetic stock and cerakote on the metal, if that matters, and it is on the way but not here yet, so can't try it out right now. So, anyone have a Cooper set up this way? A pic would be great. Thanks, Doug

I think it would make the rifle a little heavy. I got a 3x9x36 swarvoski Z3 and I have no complaints. Mine is chambered in a 338-06 so 9 power on the high is more then enough.

I agree with woodelf. Just purchased a Kimber 84L with a 30mm scope on it (2.5-16x42). It did not stay on for a day! To my eye it looked "clunky". I see the Cooper and Kimber as 'svelte' guns and the larger tube looks funny to me. Am going to a Swaro 3-10x42 once I get some 1" rings for it. It will also save me a few ounces. May be strange to have similar scopes and just with the tube diameter different, it looks different enough for me to make the change. ______________________ Ken A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in. --- Greek Proverb
