Per their catalog, CZs rate of twist is one in 9.5". From what I gather, one in 14" is more the norm. What is the preferred rate for you guys?

14" is quite common. However, I've had all my built with 12".

As far as I knew 1x14 is all that,s available..That is all I have every used and mine have all shot well with 230 gr. GS Customs to 320 gr. Woodleighs...I have always used Lothar Walther barrels, but I have all the catalogs for a lot of barrel makers.

9.3x62,
Where do you get your 1x12 barrels? I might like to try one...

Ray:

I've used both Douglas and Pac-Nor, all in 12". My more recent ones have Pac-nor barrels, and they have proved to be particularly accurate. IMHO, a #4 contour from either company is about perfect for a 9.3x62.
