| My most accurate rifle is a Bryant Custom .250 Ackley Improved. It has averaged 1.116" for 140 3-shot groups with 76 different loads. It's smallest group measures .287" It is built on a short Remington 700 action, and has a 23" #2 Hart barrel and is pillar bedded in a McMillan Mountain Rifle stock. John |

Same gun for me. It is very light and kicks like a 30/06 but shoots like a match rifle. |

| Certainly is an apples vs. oranges topic, but:
Browning A-bolt stainless stalker with Boss, in 7mm08 shoots 3/4" at 100 yds routinely. Completely stock. I love it for hunting.
Rem 788 in .243 is a little more finicky about ammunition but has produced all my best groups in centerfire - one-holes less than 1/2" at 100 yards - Completely stock
CZ452 in 22LR, with Eric Brooks trigger lightening kit and 5-15 power Bushell Elite, always makes little one-hole groups at 50 yards - it is unusual to see one larger than 1/2" from a variety of shooters. This is our favorite group fun gun.

| 6mm 30-30 Ack Imp 22" VVCG barreled Contender carbine..........with a sierra 80 btsp it will shoot some amazing groups quite easily. My first fire form loads would go .338 for five at 100. |

| A heavy barreled Savage .223, although my Tikka in .338 actually gives it a run for the money, surprisingly. |

| My most accurate rifle is an unaltered Remington 40XBBR in .222Rem. I've never done a thing to it and it still shoots in the .2's. The rifle was purchased in 1972. It's been a real sweetheart. Not far behind it is a Savage 110 that sports a 24" Hart SS barrel. It'll also print in the .2's (5 at 100yds.) although we're talking mid-twos. Both have triggers well less than a pound and are shot from the bench. Both are a bit heavy though for lugging around the fields. The Remington is 10.5lbs. and the Savage/Hart about 13lbs. I work on my accuracy loads quite a bit. I have other varmint rigs that print in the .3's and .4's but not consistently like the first two. Best wishes.

| I guess my most accurate rifle is/was my 700 6mmRem, H S M24 type stock(presently), it used to have a HS thumbhole stock, Jewell trigger set @9oz. and 6x-24x Burris Sig. scope, now it wears a 4x-16xSig./Balmil-dot, the trigger from my 223VS, when I used my fireformed brass with 39.6grs. H4895 Rem. or 210M primers, 75gr. Sierras, it would consistantly put five shots in the 3s, smallest group was .217", when I shoot it now, I'm shooting only to fireform some Win. brass and it still gets in the 3s once in awhile, I'll be doing a 25 shot agg. with my VS this spring with 55 VMAxs and 24grs. of Benchmark, and 52-53MKs with 24.5grs. Benchmark, to see if it will be my new most accurate rifle, it shows some real potential, Jay |

| My 20BR is the most accurate non-benchrest rifle I've ever owned. It will shoot in the 3's all day in the wind, and sometimes in the 2's, even as bad as I am at doping wind. |

| In a big game rifle, it is weatherby mark V in 340 wby. With factory 210, it regularly shoots 1 hole groups. 2nd place is a Ruger M77 in 338 that shoots 200 grain ballistic tips into one hole (it makes for an impressive deer load). In a varmint rifle, it is a ruger heavy barrel 22-250 that regularly shoots 1/4" groups. |
