It's really pretty simple, if we only bought what we needed life would be pretty dull. I don't need 5 .22 LR rifles, but I have at least that many. If you want to get down to brass tacks, I have at least 5 rifles that are dedicated to whitetail hunting, no one really needs more than one. I have two cars, four televisions, several books, a few movies on tape, two four wheelers, etc. Get the idea where this is going? It's a poor question, with many answers. The good part is, there is no wrong answer, only your own answer. If we don't have some interest, something to keep us thinking and working, then we stagnate, and, yes, die.
I can understand why a guy would want lots of guns, same or different calibers. But why in the hell would anybody want more than one woman? The one I got is enough of a hassle to keep me out of my gun room more than I want. Sure the lawn needs mowing, the dogshit needs to be picked up, the toilet seat put down, and all the other honeydo's need doing. But ammo needs loading and rifles need shooting! If I didn't have to spend money on her then I could buy more guns. Hell if not for her I would be living in a trailer on a peice of pristine hunting land. Hunting, fishing and reloading to my hearts content. Can you imagine 5 nagging pms laden wenches? The bitching would never stop! What in the hell are you guys thinking?

Quote: Because the '06 was available in several nice flavors. I have DCM samples of the '03, 03A3 & Garand (and their baby brother M1 carbine). Oh yeah, I have a Rem 700 Classic in '06 for good measure.
Oops! Just added a pre-64 featherweight to the mix.
