A buddy called me tonight about a Winchester classic super grade with BOSS in 30 06 he's looking at buying.

Can anyone provide guidance as to price? Pristine condition.

Thanks.

Not trying to be flippant, but as far as I can tell, it should go for $150-200 less than the same rifle without the BOSS.

I looked at the gun today. It's a New Haven gun with a serial number starting with 17 and it is the nicest factory stock I have ever seen.

He's going to buy it and we were discussing him sending it to our friend dpcd for a rebarrel to 35 Whelen.

Don't shoot it if you plan on a rebarrel.
I bought a SuperGrade in 338 Win Mag with the BOSS on it, I couldn't stand the BOSS but that rifle really shot well.
I bobbed off the BOSS and had it re crowned and thank God it shoots great, even if it is a 21.5"

If rebarrel is the plan don't shoot it, that rifle will be very accurate!

Used barrels are a dime a dozen, maybe $40-90 tops
