I bought a very nice browning safari in 30,06
Its got an awfull recoil pad though, and I will be replacing that.
Other than that its all origional, and in very good condition. Stll has the sight hood
And a rather extensive rear sight that looks like a milit revolver sight.
I have loaded 3 loads for it already , 10 rounds each with 150 & 165 grain hornady bullets , and some 180 grain partritions.
Going to do some 168 grain barnes t shocks and probably some 150 grain coated fail safes.
I will try to post some pics but I have had problems in the past.

Thomas -
I have one just like it in .30/06 that I purchased last year as well as its twin Browning Safari in .458 WM. They were both at Hendershots Sporting Goods & I didn't have the heart to separate them. Smiler. I haven't had a chance to shoot either one yet so let me know your impressions & how it shoots your loads that you put together.

when you replace the pad, make sure you put a good one on there. my .270 safari was brutal with the plastic butt pad. it now wears a new stick with a red pacmayer (sp) but dwells in the safe. a shame, too, since it was a real shooter. my dads 7mm Mag safari has a good pad on it and it's a pleasure to shoot (used to be accurate, but i think the tube is going out...)

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

I was wondering if anybody would notice that.
Amazing what a .270 can do at 30 feet.
I was home alone , and the only real damage besides to the wall was to my ears.
My basment makes a lousy shooting range...tj3006
