A 280 Jeffery is not a heap different to a 7mm Dakota, the Dakota being an improved version of the Jeffery. Start loads for the Dakota or maybe even the 7mm Rem mag would give a good start point for the Jeffery. I wouldn't imagine that .001" in bullet diameter would be too critical at all. Steve

I had a Ross in 280. Just could not get it to shoot with one brand of "custom" in .287" bullets - Hawk - whatsoever at all!

Yeah, Hawk and Woodleigh are the only companies that I found that made .287 bullets for the Ross and 275 H&H. I thought for sure someone on AR would have a 280 Jeffery, as it seems the members here have damn near everything else...

275 Holland should use standard 284 diameter bullets...at least I believe that is the "spec" for it. Just as 330 BSA uses 338 diameter bullets.

Woodleigh has a separate listing strictly for the 275 H&H with .287" projectiles... http://www.woodleighbullets.co...llet%20List%203.htmlI called G&H and asked if the person who bought the rifle was a reloader, and I was told another store in Texas bought it. The salesman at G&H had no idea about a source for 280 Jeffery cartridges, but suggested I look at Kynoch. I told him I did, and they do not make 280 Jeffery cartridges.
