Just what the topic says, I'd like to "pick your" collective brains for some information to help give me a starting point for working up some mild to midrange powered loads for this rifle. ---------------------------------------- If you waste your time a talkin' to the people who don't listen To the things that you are sayin' who do you thinks gonna hear And if you should die explainin' how the thing they complain about Or the things they could be changing who do you thinks gonna care Waylon Jennings

Try 42 gr of IMR 4320 and 150 gr Hornady, Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

Is that an 1891 Argentine? If so, the load below should shoot wonderfully, assuming the bore is good. 45.0 grains of IMR 4895 behind the 150 of your preference (I loaded Hornadys, but Speers shot well, too); Norma brass and a standard rifle primer. Seat the bullet ~.010" off the lands.

Hey, I thought I would throw in a recommendation on this thread. I found a sporterized 7.65 Argie very similar to yours and the first load I put through it shot lights out. 3/4 inch @ 100yds consistantly using reformed LC 30-06 brass. 40.5 gr IMR 3031 150gr Hornady .312 SP WLR primers BTW, I stole the rifle for $75. All it was missing was the scope and rings. I wish it were mine. It is a sweet little shooter. Bill C
