Without going into too many gory details; my German Forester desires his pristine Sauer & Sohn break-open Single Shot to shoot some monometal loads ..... ..... the current home-rolled loads with RWS .364" 193 grain Flat Points with SR-4759 will put 5 shots in 1.5" @ 100 meters all day long with the original Diopter sights on it - Sweet. but, No, he wants to shoot Save-the-Eagle bullets. Net, have ginned up a load that shoots just as well with Sax Monometal 131.6 gr. tipped KJG-S bullets. Issue is; they print 14" high; is this correct for a lighter bullet with higher velocity to shoot high? I thought higher velocity resulted in lower POI? Been wrong before and will surely be again. Verdict? Cheers, Number 10 | ||
