I'm considering the purchase of one. Any comments, good or bad?

Thanks in advance...

Zippy,

I have seen a few of them and liked what I saw but, unfortunatly Marlin has discontinued production of this particular firearm. What a shame!

Marlin produced these to compete with the Remington 700 ADL and Savage 111 which it did,but unfortunately didn't offer anything that the other two didn't have.A nice looking rifle nontheless, it just didn't get enough of a chance to establish itself......I saw a new one for sale at a gun show last week for $375......Big K

I didn't even know they made them until I was given a Marlin MR-7 as a gift. I had my trigger worked on and as of right now, this is the most accurate bolt action I own with the exception of my Rem 700 VSSF. I think the MR-7 is a nice design and would be an excellent choice for big game. I'd venture to guess that most folks not of that opinion have never owned a MR-7. Just my 2 cents. [Big Grin]
