Have not shot one, but got to handle one yesterday at the toy store. I was not impressed with the looks when first came out, but I must say, its a very nicely balanced and well put together gun. I hope it sells well.

I've also handled one at "the toy store" and I'm not real sure about the look.

The one I handled was in 204Ruger and I wondered about the need for a brake at all....

I liked the look of it..

but my conclusion to the 'why' of it?

some more marketing answers to a problem we don't have...but they are hoping they can convince a few folks that they do...

There's a review of one in .223 in the current Shooting Times. They seemed to like it a lot and three of the four test ammos shot sub 1" at 100 yards with the 4th going 1.09"

I have a hard time believing alot of what is said in the big gun magazines. Although I do cherish them when they arrive at my house they have too much input from the gun manufacturers in my opinion to be 100% honest.

Are you saying that gun writers, who get paid by the word and, often times get to keep the test firearm, would mislead their loyal readers?
Next you'll be telling me that many people who claim to have rifles "that consistantly shoot in the .2's", are lying also. Shame on you!

Pretty much the same question asked under Gunsmithing and lot of "opinions" but so far no first hand experience. I understand that the rifle/barrel arrangement is first and foremost for LE/Mil(different systhetic stock) and available for sporting use and is to be thought of as a "walking varminter" type rifle.

I won one in 308 the other night at our SCI mtng. Put an old 6x24 Bushnell on it and sighted it in. Only 15 rds through it so far but I am impressed. I'll let you know how it works next spring when I've had time to work up a load for it and get it tuned up.
