Just bought one in 30-06 for a little over $700. After playing with it all I can say is WOW it is a well put together rifle. Action smooth the trigger is unbeliveable fit and finnish out standing! Now I hope it shoots as good as it looks.

DMBI bought one of the new FM Model 70 Featherweights in 7-08, and feel as you do.
The load development for this rifle lasted for ONE range outing. The first load I shot with it, after sighting in, measured 1/2" for three shots.

phurley5Peter ----- I just this morning looked at several of the new Model 70's at Whitakers gun shop in Owensboro Ky. One in particular was a Featherweight Deluxe in .270 WSM that had beautiful wood on it. If you are interested they ship and the number is 270-229-0140. Good luck and good shooting.
