vegard_dino8*72R.....?
Hi all
Looking at a drilling now, with 2 rifle barrels in 8*72R. Anyone here who use that caliber?
Is it a 9.3*72R necked down?
I have never seen it before.
All help is good for me.

Bent FossdalYes, it is the 9,3x72R neecked down, but obsolete for quite some time...

vegard_dinoHi Bent

Thanks for the reply.
You know why it did end up in a "dark corner"?
Is it legal in Norway for deer, roe deer or moose(elg)?
The relatively more modern but still classical 8 mm caliber for a drilling would be 8x57 mm IRS. Also rimmed, bigger "S" bullet size and more modern design of the case. Still, it is quite likely much more older than you are.
If you really want something exotic but powerfull, you might try the 8x75 mm RS...

vegard_dinoHello DUK
Thanks for the reply. Well, yes, the IRS is MUCH older than me

...ohh.
But, well, the 8*75 RS, mm, now thats a new one for me.
Got one?

Bent FossdalThe 8x75R is the 9,3x74 necked down to 8mm, and loaded to quite nice velocities, mutch higher than the 8x57.
