What an insult to the sensibilities of any Mauser owner!!! thumbdown thumbdown thumbdown

It should be the other way around ! seeing as the Whelen only made the scene around 1922 ! a sad excuse when compared to the 9.3 Mauser sofa

The good news is that we DIDN'T invent it here so it's the 9,3x62, a legendary African round with loads more provinance than the 35 Whelen.

Tiggertate, I think you might be confusing the 9,3x62 with the 9,3x64.

The 9,3x62 (and the new Sako 9,3x66) have a 30-06 sized bolt face.

The 9,3x64 Brenneke is the larger round required a larger bolt face. The 376 Steyr is a slightly shortened .375 caliber round based on the 9,3x64 case..........................DJ

....Remember that this is all supposed to be for fun!..................
