I'm looking to try some TSX's for my .308 M77 Ruger. My choices are : 150, 165, and 168. Can anyone explain the practical differences between the 165&168? Also, are these bullets longer than Nosler Partitions? Any pet loads you care to share?

Deer or cinder blocks? What is your target? I'll assume deer. 150s with 46 to 47gr of IMR-4064 works great. Yes tsx bullets are longer being equal weight. Free men should not be subjected to permits, paperwork and taxation in order to carry any firearm. NRA Benefactor

I believe the main difference, aside from 3 grains of weight, is the shape of the ogive. I'd use whichever one shot best in your rifle. Okie John "The 30-06 works. Period." --Finn Aagaard

I wouldnt shoot any at deer. I tried a 150 last year and it penciled thru i assume as the deer took off like a bot out of hell. Shot was so close and minor bloof and hair on ground proved i didnt miss. I would try the 130's and load em up so that you can enough velocity to adequately open those things or try shooting thru the shoulder 100% of the time I like accubonds for whitetails
