Alberta CanuckTyler K - Is that a Nightforce scope on the .338 Lapua on your pic?
If it is, I have fired either that exact same rifle or its identical twin. One of my late closest friends (Chuck Karwan, a retired Special Forces company commander) had it on loan to him while writing an article for the American Rifleman on it.
It may look "different", but if beauty is as beauty does, it is just plain stone-GORGEOUS. Probably the most accurate of the moderately powerful rifles I have ever fired. And no noticeable recoil discomfort with that super-effective muzzle brake....
If I was forced to duel with a sniper at 1,000 meters or more, and didn't have access to something like a 30 m/m chain gun mounted on a drone UAV, that is likely a good tool for the job!
I know I be just plain tickled any day of the week if someone gave ME one of them!
