While visiting a local distributors warehouse I noticed some ammo in 6.5 Creedmore. Looked like a 6.5 x 284 short. Anyone know much about this? | ||

It's one of Hornady's new developments. Based on .30 TC case. Designed to hold VLD's and still meet 2.8" OAL. It's nearly identical ballistically to the .260 Rem/6.5-284 but is not a SAAMI cartridge as of yet. | |||

I think it was developed jointly by Hornady and Creedmoor Sports as an "across the course" match cartridge. Sort of a competitor for the 6XC. I agree that it is near the 260 Remington ballistically. "Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading". | |||
