Gentlemen, About a year ago I bought an FN 308 TSR XP rifle. Is this the same as the new Model 70? Anyone had any experience with it? | ||

Kind of! It uses a Pre-64 M70 action design (Old design) With todays machining technology. Nice rifle. Here are the specs. These fast, light and compact FN TSR XP Tactical Sport Rifles are built by FN Manufacturing in the good ol' USA, and feature Controlled Round Feed (CRF), blade ejection and a three-position safety. The new three-lever Tactical Sport Trigger has a pull weight range from 3 to 5 pounds and is factory set at 3¾ pounds. Cold hammer-forged MIL-SPEC barrels. A one-piece steel MIL-STD 1913 optical tactical rail w/ additional elevation built-in comes standard. The Pre-64 Model 70-design bolt-action receiver is mated to a full aluminum bedding block molded into the FN/Hogue synthetic stock that’s covered with a textured olive drab OverMolded rubber surface.
