I.just bought a Benelli r1 semiautomatic in 338 win mag .I figured I needed less kick to keep hunting
With my.338 win mag .I heard you really have to clean these rifles alot after shooting .
It's pretty cool and it can be changed to different calibers .I heard they were super accurate too .
I couldn't pass this one up kelp thinking about getting it .It has a rail on top for scopes .I didn't know showing they have been making these but the 338 win mag has not been out too long .I hope it's a good Rifle .It might be the last 338 win mag of my.
Lifetime .I really like hunting With the 338 win mag its super powerful and shoots flat with good bullets .
I hope this is not as picky as my Ruger 77 in 338 win mag but that rifle served me well 32 years .
I just couldn't shoot my 338 but about five times anymore .Hopefully rifle will do for the next 15 years or how ever long I can handle it .I have not seen any of these guns in any shop or gun show .It's made in 9.3x62 also so it must be tough!

Nice rifle and caliber, congrats. I shopped around for a heavier caliber autoloading hunting rifle. Considered the .338 WM BAR but settled on a .35 Whelen Remington 7400.

Nice! I just went to the Benelli website and like the look. I have been looking for a BAR SAFARI in 338 win mag but this may be a better choice and easier to find.

They are dependable solid rifles. My hunt partner had one in .30-06. I watched him drop a mule deer at 565yd.’s with it. He’s a a .338 fanatic. He sent the rifle to JES reborring and had it converted to .338-06. He loves it. That was right before the .338 mag. Came out.
Hunt with it and enjoy it.

A friend in Texas just bought one in 300 WM. He's pretty picky on his rifles, and he seems to love it.

I heard they were picky on ammo and had to be really cleaned alot after you
Shot them alot .I hope it shoots as good as I heard they do .I was Thinking about
Putting Winchester boss muzzle break on my Ruger 77 stainless 338 so I could target shoot with it
More than I do now .I think this makes over 12 338 win mag rifles I have now so you might think I like
338 win mag a little .I don't know why they put a dinky field pad on the Benelli 338 I will probably just put.a slide on limb saver pad on it .They make a thicker pad for the benelli r1 but it looks like a real pain to put it on there .I guess I will put my old Nikon 3.5 x10 x50 scope on it .I think I will buy am extra mag for it also .I two bar 300 win mags that I won in a deer contest .I wanted a 338 win mag but they didn't make them that year .I gave my dad one and sold the other one .There is not much difference in the 3006 and the300 win mag but there is a huge jump in killing power between the 3006 and the 338 win mag .I.have used the 338 win mag 32 years now for hunting didn't want to stop now .I.know the Browning BAR needs to keep very clean too and a bore snake used to clean the gas ports .That BAR 300 win mag totally quit firing and ejecting I totally cleaned it and used bore snake worked awesome after that .

I would think the R1 could handle more fouling and use without failing over the Browning BAR. The gas system is very good on the R1...I really like the Benelli shotguns.

My local dealer is on the look-out for one of these for me.

Are you allowed moderators in the US on big rifles. They can really reduce felt recoil. I shot a Ruger stainless synthetic Alaskan in 375 Ruger last year fitted with a mod. No more recoil than my 7x57. Even my 15 yr old daughter happily shot it.

6+ month wait in order to receive it once purchased and paperwork is sent. I was going to get the SilencerCo Omega but after the ban on the Slidefire/Bumpfire stocks I don't think I will dip into the suppressors. One idiot shoots someone with the suppressor and our $1k moderators will have to be turned in with no money refund.

My Benelli r1 is on its way here .I will try some 225 grain accubonds I loaded for Ruger 77 that it didn't like .I also have some nosler 210 grain partitions that I didn't like on deer that zipped through up close .I think my Nikon 3.5x10 x50 will work good on it also .Hopefully it shoots as good as I heard .I will be glad to get less recoil .I have a ton of 250 grain nosler partitions that were only coated just learned I
How to get that off will load some of those also .If they fit I could try of the 275 grain Speer bullets I.have too they are awesome up close or far away !I can hunt some hogs with It just saw one about 400 pounds .

Just picked up one in 338 WM (1:11" twist barrel). Deciding on optics. See what I can find for quality factory ammo.

I put a 3.5x10x50 Nikon on mine .I am thinking about putting a boss system like Winchester had to make it more accurate and kick less . Its a cool rifle just need to experiment with it. I usually use 200 grain for deer. it didn't like 225 grain Accubonds neither did my ruger 77 338 shot them in a pattern .I hope to use it more my regular 338 is either shot out or something it use to shoot awesome cloverleafsat at 100 yards .
