Can anyone recommend a good source for a walnut stock for a Husqvarna/HVA rifle? Nothing super fancy, thumbholed, laminated or anything like that.
Checked out Stocky's, Fajen, Boyd's and a couple of others. Anything good or bad from any of them?
Most direct me to the Mauser stocks which I don't believe will look good or fit properly. They're for the military type rifles with large rings. The cuts in the stock do not match what is on the current beat to hell and back stock either.
Any thoughts, insights, or suggestions will be appreciated.

Take a look at McGowen Precision Barrels. They advertise a stock for their HVA actions.

Richards microfit Gunstocks lists that on their inlet page.

[ Husqvarna: HVA Commercial small ring 7-13/16" between screws, Swedish, Carl Gustov round receivers, Swedish ($25. set-up fee) ]

They work fine for a basic unfinished stock.

I have used a couple and they worked great.

Race; Take a look on the Tradeex Canada site under Products then Gunstocks, they often have some HVA stocks - only problem maybe shipping to the USA. Good people (Anthony) to deal with, I've made several purchases from them and have always been satisfied. FWIW --- John303.

Thanks guys.

Finally figured out that I need a model 3000 stock.
The rifles seem to have a bit of a following but information is rather hard to come by. Most of what I've found are short paragraphs or brief descriptions that are barely a page in length.

Pace & Others just an item of interest for you, if you go to Canadian Gunnutz > Main Index > Sporting Rifles > there is a "sticky" at the top of the page just for HVA rifles - lots of pics. / info. on HVA. --- John303.
