I have a .30-06 BAR carbine, and the stock has several cracks in it. Any suggestions on where I look for replacements? Is this a job I can do at home, or should a gunsmith be involved?

http://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/ctgy/browning-bar-rifle If your gun is fairly new, you can or may have to get parts directly from Browning. http://www.browning.com/services/gunpartsprices/index.asp

Bell & Carlson makes a pretty decent synthetic stock for the BAR. Worked very well, I wanted to save a beautiful set of wood from the rigors of a hard Elk hunt ... worked out well. Thanks for the replies. Is this a do-it-yourself sort of thing, or should I hire it out?
