I thought that at one time Ruger made a No.1 in 9,3X74R. However, I can't find it on the Ruger web site. Was I wrong about that? Does anyone else make a single shot in 9,3X74R?

They definitely made them a few years ago but I have not seen any for a while. There are used and new ones out there; look on gunsinternational site. Krieg Hubertus is made in 9.3x74r.

Dave, I think that was one of the "Boddington" series. You should be able to find one.

Dave, there's 2 on Guns Intl right now....in the $1,100 range. Go to the website and put "9.3x74R in the Search Box in the top left....scroll down until you find them.

I'm not sure about the Boddington series, but I know for a fact that they made one in their standard line for awhile. I had one for a year or so. It had decent wood and shot pretty well, but I let it go to a buddy who loved it more than I did. It's appearance was a bit "visually unbalanced" with the barrel it had (a 26-incher would have looked much nicer) and I could barely see through the iron sights, which is how I had hoped to use it. The comb was perfect for scope use, but it would have needed some work to lower it enough for iron sight use for me.

Dave,

Haenel makes their Jäger9 in Single Shot; I've had my eyes on this one for quite a while, I'm thinking 270 Win. or a 7mm Rem Mag myself. Also reasonably priced as Euro rifles go.

Blaser K95 also but shit, let's face it they're simply over-priced.

Have fun with your search.

I know they they made 'em in 9.3x74R, cuz I had one! They came out in 06 or 07. I also had one in 35 Whelen and a 450-400 Nitro Express (non-Boddington model).

Not sure where this place is, but I saw this on another forum earlier today. About 1/2 to 2/3 down the page is a Ruger #1 9.3x74R.

Not one of the Boddington series. Those being:

7x57 Leopard
300 H&H Kudu
375 Ruger Lion
450/400 Buffalo
450NE Elephant

250 of each made. I have one of the 300H&H and it's a sweet rifle. They certainly did the #1 in 9.3X74R in the past if not now. I would think that to be a very nice combo!
