I recently e mailed SAKO but to date have had no response... Any of you gents know if they have a custom department? I would like to order a SAKO 85 in 6.5 Swede or 6.5x54 MS with the original twist rate to shoot those loooong heavy bullets? Thanking you in advance.

Why not chat with African Hunting Supplies (or whatever they call temselves these days). They are the agents and can deal with Sako on your behalf.

1/ 8" is close to the original and works well with 160gr bullets.

Buying a standard rifle and rebarreling with the desired twist may be cheaper than having Sako do you a special!
