Quote: Thats a fair price for Ray's gun, if you buy it you will love it. Working the action will feel like closeing a bank vault compared to todays guns.
What planet are from?Do you know guns up there?

RedNeck you are absolutely wrong. A used gun is worth less money than a new gun that's just like it. Any time someone can go and buy something exactly the same thing new for the same price as used they will buy new (unless they are stupid and/or uninformed). The point about the FN Mauser is that it is unique. You can't go and buy a new FN Mauser just like it and so absolutely will retain better value than a new currently produced weapon. I know this from extensive experience.......DJ

Quote: And if you don't like it you can get your money back. Try that with a new Savage or Remington.
Bull Shit,If you bought the gun/rifle,from a small FFL dealer"GUN SMITH"9 times out of 10,you get your money back.If you bye it at Wallmart, well then you suck your loss. You see send it back to the factory, thats our policy.Always bye from a small gunman, you will get to know him/her.And thats nice.

Quote: If accuracy and low cost are your main criteria, and the rifle must be brand new, then the Savage, CZ or Charles Daly Mark X should fit the bill. A Ford or Chevy will get you from point A to point B as well as a Lexus or Mercedes but it won't have the finer points.
Like the old saying goes,"chrome will not get you home".
