I see that Nosler has a new model 48 called the trophy grade rifle. Does anyone know what the difference between the original M48 and the new Trophy Grade are? I also noticed the new one is about a grand cheaper any insite on the price difference. Thanks

The first thing right off the bat that I see is the new model uses a cheaper Bell and Carlson Medalist style custom stock pillar bedded with an aluminum bedding blocks. The bottom metal looks to be missing a bow release, meaning it is likely a far cheaper unit. Also the trigger is a Rifle Basix instead of the Timney that is in the custom. That means the Rifle Basix probalby has a standard 2 position safety wheresl the Timney in the custom has a more expensive 3 position safety. Also the trophy only comes with a 1" gaurentee instead of the .75" gaurentee that comes with the custom. JC

I knew it was too good to be true. Oh well hopefully they come in at around a thousand on the shelf then they might be worth another look. Anyone heard on the quality of the original M48?
