| Friend of mine has one, the factory test target was a cloverleaf and it puts Fed Premium 130 grain Gamekings in about an inch at 200.
I have trouble believing they're all that good, but that one sure is a keeper. |

| Bear,
I have owned two in 270, both have shot extremely well right out of the box. One was sold to fund a project and the other is converted to a 338-06.
I had a Safari magnum in 375 H&H that shot extremely well.
Currently I have a 17 HMR varmint that shoots one inch 10 shot groups at 100 yards.
I have a 416 Rigby that I haven't had a whole lot of time to play with yet, but I expect it to shoot like all the other CZ's I have owned. |

| I have a CZ527 in 223 Rem that averages .7in for 5 shots @110yds (100 meters). One group of three shots .35. The single set trigger really makes for good shots, no jerking at all. Don't see why other CZs would not produce equal consistent accuracy.

| I've got 2 CZ550s, a FS (fullstock/"mannlicher") in 6.5x55 and a Safari Magnum (hogsback stock) in 375 H&H. Accuracy is very good out of the box, even with the little fullstock. I've been extremely pleased with both.

| I have 3 CZ rifles. A 550 American in 9.3x62, 550 FS in 6.5x55 and a 527 in 221 Fireball. All three of these rifle shoot sub MOA right out of the box with handloads. |

| I bought a CZ 500 in .270 for my 14 yr old Godson last year. I sighted it in and got about 1" MOA with handloads(140gr BT). He loves his first Big Game rifle and thinks the set trigger is cool. I am happy enough to buy a CZ 500 for myself(maybe a 6.5x55)

| Well I looked at the CZ 270. It os the 550 American. Itw as love at first touch. He let me try the trigger and although I looked at a new Remington, The new Savage 114 Classi and the new Ruger, The CZjust had the right stuff. I didn't bring it home today but I think Monday it will be a done deal. I couldn't decide today between the CZ and a new Kimber Custom II with night sights. |

| Bear hunter. I think you will be real happy. The instructions give directions on adjusting the trigger , and you will be suprised how much better it will get. I sold my 550 american in .243 just cause it was too heavy. I also sold a 550 Fullstock in 7X57 beacuse I wanted a ruger #1. But both CZs were very good acurate rifles...tj3006

| I have a pair of 527's that are keepers. One is a 222 and the other a 223. Both shoot three shots into a 3/8" group at 100 yards for three shots. I haven't read of anyone complaining about accuracy with a CZ rifle whether it be a 550 or a 527. Don

| Im sure you will be happy with it, I have one from 1977 with 6X leupold and it loves 130 Grn speer SPBT, will shoot them into 1-1.5 MOA casually any day of the week...it will average less than MOA on the bench. I have head shot Roos with it at over 400 yrds with spectacular results! BTW, ive yet to hear of a rogue BRNO / CZ in 270 win. |

| Best value out there IMHO. My CZ 550 Medium Mag. action has a bolt-to-action fit like the Dakota 76 action I had.

Every CZ I have seen shot from outstanding to awesome, right out of the box. However, I am no fan of their single-set triggers. These vary a lot in quality and function from one rifle to the next. I'd personally much prefer a good DST to the SST they use.

Any update on the 550? Just curious how it is shooting for you and what loads are working. |
