The only Kimbers I have are in 243, 260 and 7mm-08. Since the stocks fit me, are very straight and have soft pads the recoil with these cartriges is just fine.

One should try to shoulder one at least. There is one member here at least who says the stocks are too high for him at the comb.

Wait for djpaintles to comment as he has them in the WSM's also.

Hey Duckster and Savage99. First of all Savage99 are big fans of the Kimbers. If you have a Kimber 22 I think it highly recommended that you purchase an 84 or 8400.
I have a 84 Super America in 308 winchester recoil-wise I think that it is less than my Steyr Scout in 308 due to it's excellent stock design and superior recoil-pad. The 8400's are a bit Snappy but I would rate the recoil of my 8400 300WSM as slightly less than my Finnlite 300WSM again due to the Excellent stock design and recoil pad. A freind of mine had the same questions about recoil in such a light 308, the day after he shot my 308 Super America he bought a 84M in 308. He absolutely raves about the 84M.
If you think you might be a little recoil sensitive you might go with a 84 in 260 or 7-08 and in a 8400 try the 270 or 7WSM.
Good luck and please let us know how you like them.........DJ
