Just got a box of Berger 150 gr hunting bullets in and getting ready to workup some loads. Berger recommends a COAL that places the bullet closest to the lands. My question is since Weatherby cartridges are free bored more than others this likely is not going to reality. Does anybody out there use these bullets in their weatherby rounds and if so what COAL are you using? Thanks Jack

One thing that you might run into is the loaded round not fitting into magazine, making the gun a single shot. My browning a-bolt has a lot of free bore and loading to the lands makes the round too long. Secondly, if you want to load out to the lands you will need to measure it for your gun. Get hornady's OAL guage and go from there. Never have seated my bullets that close to the lands (1/10th inch is my norm) and have many rifles that shoot under 0.5 MOA. I have a 270 Bee too ... nice cartridge Regards, Chuck "There's a saying in prize fighting, everyone's got a plan until they get hit" Michael Douglas "The Ghost And The Darkness"
