Got to the range today and I am a happy camper. IMR4350, and H4831sc was a no go with the 150 grain Partitions. However I must say Retumbo was the answer. Every 3 shot group was under an inch and 69.5 came in a nice clover leaf with all three touching. About 1/2 outside to outside. Only shot three but they chronyed 2994, 2998, and 3010 fps. Max load of 70 grains opened up to 13/16 for three. Anyone think the 150 Partition is to much bullet for whitetail? I have never used them and only got them because they were on sale at Shooters Pro Shop. Figured work up an Elk/Bear load in case I ever need it. However shooting this good I would like to make it my go to load if I can keep getting these results. Molon Labe New account for Jacobite

I use the 150g Partition at 3000 fps for deer, javelina, elk, and bear. It just works on everything. My youngest shot a 550 lb feral hog with it this summer at 12 feet in a thicket, 150g Partition just did the job. No, 150 partitions are great for deer. I've used it on mule deer from big to meat bucks and I was happy with the results. Elk and deer season are often back to back so I like one load that I can use for both. I've since moved to 140TSX but I've been thinking of going back or switching to 140AB because the shooters pro shop is down the street and it's really hard to justify $30 for TSX when Nosler 2nds are like $15 max. My stash of Nosler bullets is getting rather large. I don't think I'll be using the TSX once I run out. I think my Tikka 270 liked the Partitions as much if not more than the TSX.

I use Retumbo in my 270WSM's with 140gr Accubonds. LOVE THE PERFORMANCE !!! Taken everything from large whitetails and mulies, to elk, moose and bears here in Alberta.

Retumbo is working out great in my fast twist 1-8, 6mm-284 with a match chamber and VERY TIGHT barrel, with 95 - 107 gr match/VLD bullets. The bore is 0.00150" smaller than "normal"...and the velocities at 6-8 grains BELOW the lowest powder charge for 100 gr bullets is giving me 3000-3300fs over TWO chronographs at the same time, Beta Chrony and Oehler 33, Beta, in front by 18", is showing 30-50fs higher. More velo than RL-25 and 90-95% load density. Bought two more bottles yesterday. Luck

Looks like Bear_in_Fairbanks knew what he was talking about when he recommend Retumbo for 150 grainers on a previous thread.. I'll have to pick up some next time I make it to town..
