Anyone have any experience with the Benelli R1 rifle? They have cyrogenically treated barrels, and are supposed to be very accurate and reliable. I'm considering getting one in .338 Win Mag.

It's a great caliber for big game in the USA or Canada! I don't know a blessed thing about that foreign rifle but a model 70 Winchester is hard to beat in my book.

I put one thru its paces when they first came out. Ergonomically I thought it was great. It was an 06. Best accuracy I could get was 1.5" or so. It was not consistent though. Reliable, yes.

I've found the BAR to be better shooters. But thats just me.
