OK, I now have enough brass to start reloading. I have a few Claw bullets in 286gr and a tin of Somchems S335. What loads are you guys using, particularly those in SA, for your nine threes? or any other good loads out there? Thanks

65gr of Ramshot BigGame, 286gr Nosler Patition,WLR Primers, Lapua Brass. Avg velocity just under 2450fps, 3 shot groups under 1/2 inch at 100 yards. R-15 ia also a very popular load for the 9.3x62. I am getting higher velocity and better accuracy with the BigGame.

Wazza, I take it you're in South Africa (or the region) since you have Somchem S335 powder? From Somchem's web site: http://www.somchem.co.za/ Also, see this thread 9.3x62 RL-15 285gr for some of my load data using RL-15 powder. -Bob F.

I don't know if you can get it, but Varget is a very good powder in the 9.3x62. I obtain velocities in line with high end velocities for S335, and after over ten shots, have sectioned the brass to find no significant thinning of the case wall. Kudude

Try the load with Ramshot and a 286 North Fork or Nosler partition. It seems to shoot in all 9.3's and goes almost 2500 fps with 286 grain bullets in the CZ's. A shot not taken is always a miss
