. Handled the new Sauer XTC carbon shaft rifle at the Dortmund show in Germany last week. Basically a total take down structure with a special key housed in the forend. Interchangeable caliber by swapping out bolt head and barrel. Various trigger weights / pulls from 550, 750, 1000 to 1250 grams. Adjustable stock comb and even a heated pistol grip - yes a heated grip! Carbon stock. Without a scope / mounts it comes in at just over 2.8 kgs. Not a cheap rifle at some EUR 6.000/- plus ( Usd 7.250/- plus minus) State of the art or modern gimmicks ? Was it on show at SCI ? What was the opinion in the US ? Maybe it has a place as a light weight, pack, mountain rifle ? Cheers Charlie . "Up the ladders and down the snakes!" | ||
