i came across a rather nice sedgley springfield this last weekend. what a classic. has an old echo scope mount with a weaver steel tube scope that must have been added latter. who ever had it sure did take good care of the old girl. i'll probably end up selling it again, but it's nice to see the workmanship of that day

FISH!!

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

twenty years ago, maybe more, I horsetraded into a Sedgley complete action. I kept looking at it, thinking a classic '06 with iron sights; but never got around to it. Sold it to a friend, who procrastinated longer than I did. He contacted me this week, wanting to know if I wanted it back for the $375 I sold it to him for.

Does yours have the Enfield bolt?

I could have bought one for $600 in Washington state 15 years ago.

Boddington had an article on a Sedgley that he was given by his father or uncle, and I just wasn't sure.

Same store had a Browning 71 Winchester for $450 (stock was cracked it was drilled for a peep sight, but the sight was missing.
