I wanted to try one of accurate innovations stocks. Nothing that I currently had fir the bill so I found a Model 70 on a gun auction for $420 I couldn't say no to. Here is the result.

Nice combo. I have an AI laminate varminter stock sitting the gun room right now waiting for my gunsmith to finish the metal work on my 6.5-285. I'm curious to see how it will shoot also.

JustC...the rifle is still in the break in stage but shows promise. After 10 shoot and cleans it did .838 for 4 shots at 100 yd range. Then I shot 3 more after cooling 2 in 1 hole with the 3rd less than a half inch away. That was factory federal ammo. triple shocks.

Pretty wood but not so nice that you couldn't hunt with it . Nice lines .
Would be willing to swap for my featherweight stock if you get tired of it ! thumb
What make are the rings and bases ?

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.
