A couuple of the local chain stores out here in oregon are discontinuing the ruger hawkeye, and cabella,s web sight only shows a couple specialty versions.
I sure hope the dont drop it from the line.
i love my all weather 338 win and would love a wood and blue 7 mag. That new all american rifle does not suit me at all !

Go to the Ruger website, use the "write the President" function and find out from the guy who decides. Big Grin

Ruger announced in March or April that they were not taking any additional orders due to having pre-sold the entire year's production of all firearms. I think what you might be seeing is inventory is running out on Hawkeyes and Ruger is busy with scheduled production on other models. That's a guess on my part, but some manufacturing is like that. They have runs of each model scheduled and so many different models that when this run is sold, no more 'til 2013's scheduled run.


"Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.
