Has anyone used this bullet in either the .358 Norma or the .358STA?

I have some for my Rigby 350 Rigby Magnum take-down, but Lon Paul isn't done restoring it yet.

They are designed for the 400/350 rigby and may be a little soft for the higher velocities in the 358 Norma and 358 STA. 465H&H

Tried the Woodleigh 310 gr. soft and solid .358 bullets in wife's 35 Whelen with 55 gr of RL#15. Speed on chrony is running around 2300. (Perfect speed according to Doctori Robertson) Awsome load both shoot to same point of impact (no pressure signs in her gun) BE Careful start lower. (No experience with higher speed in bigger 358s, think not necessary, don't load over 2400fps) She will back me up on Buffalo in Zim. in August Although caliber is not "legal" for buffalo, we want to test performance and penetration of this combo. IMHO the 35 Whelen is just the American version of the 9.3 X 62 especially with this big bullet. We'll find out Primary Buffalo gun will be a 450/400 NE 3in double rifle using the new North Fork .410 - 400 grain bore rider soft nose in first bbl and 400 gr. cup nose solids in second bbl. What fun, can't wait........ Off to the range today, more testing. Good Hunting & Shooting Tetonka
