I needed to order some more 9.3x62 brass the other day and called Graf's for more Lapua brand. While talking to the lady who answered the phone she said that they had the Lapua for $48/100 or the Graf stuff for something like $35/100. I asked who makes the Graf brass and she said "Hornady".

I know the Lapua is probably better but decided to try the Graf/Hornady for one reason. If Hornady sells enough 9.3x62 brass to Graf's maybe some marketing mogul at Hornady will say "hey! maybe there's a market for some loaded ammo!".

Wishful Thinking

Why would you want loaded ammo? You can make your own, better and cheaper.

Good Point.

Guess I'd like to see interest in the cartridge pick up here in U.S. And who knows I might get invited to a surprise safari and need to go to WalMart for ammo.

I ordered some 9.3x62 from Graf for the same reason. The more I shoot the 9.3, the better I like it. hopefully a U.S. maker will pick this cartridge up( M700 classic?)

I received some of the Graf's 9.3 brass and it seems to be fine.

I think the idea of one of the US makers finally chambering a "useful" caliber like the 9.3x62 may be a pipe dream. Personally I would love to see Win or Rem do the 9.3x62 as much as I would like to see the next Rem 700 Classic chambered in .338-06. Just don't think we will see it.
Thankfully CZ is chambering it so at least many of us can experiment with it.

The Graf's brass will work fine. I wish Ruger would make a slightly smaller version of the RSM with the nice wood, barrel band, 1/4 rib in the 9.3x62 and .338 WM. That would be one nice factory piece. While they're at it a 24" barreled light version in 7x57, 6.5x55, and .30-06 would be a nice companion piece.

My lux cz 9.3 is a great little rifle, I am looking forwards to using the 270 gr speers on pigs at some point. I would also like try the 320 gr woodleigh's I think they would be penetrators from hell.

What's the word on Graf's brass in handloads? Is it on the soft side or can I run full-power loads in it? Thanks in advance, Okie John.

Most of Graf's brass is amde by Prvi Partizan (including the 9,3x62). Quality is excellent.

Carcano,

The lady at Graf's said it was Hornady brass, and to tell the truth it's nice, but it's not up to the Norma or Lapua in overall finish. Your European arms and ammo makers have a certain panache that's usually obvious.

But who knows, they may use different suppliers at different times

For heaven's sake, yes: Hornady *buys* its brass at Prvi Partizan for many calibers, including that one.
