I am assembling parts to build a custom rifle. (It will be my first) To date I have a Jewel trigger and a Nesika action and recoil lug, so I am turning my sights on a synthetic stock now. I must admit there is no shortage of well made and good looking ones out there, but was wondering if any of them stand out as far as quality. Thanks, ED

I have several, and I think many will agree, McMillan stocks are an industry benchmark. Lots of color options available too, which is not a big deal to some, but it's nice to have available. Lot's of different styles and options available for the rig you are working up. Good Luck with your project--Don

I see some real clubs posted on 24hr based on Mcmillians. At our range I see some really nice target rifles. Some of them have been built by Mo Defino of Master Class. Here are some pics from my files. Top rifle is for Palma on a pre 64 M70 and the bottom two on Barnard actions. Master Class Sports Inc. 166 Pocono Rd Brookfield, CT 06804 (203) 775-1013

Ed, It would help greatly if we knew the type of gun you want? Lightweight, middleweight, target? Is it for punching paper or hunting? For hunting, I'd opt for a Borden Rimrock! And they do great work if you don't want to try one yourself. http://rimrockstocks.com/
