Does N E one know where I can purchase a brand new Dakota receiver online? I need to know where to look.

If anyone has one in their possession and is looking to sell it, send a PM please. Needs to be brand new, never been used.

It would help folks out if you were more specific about which particular Dakota action you are looking for.

76, 97, 10? Action length, bolt face, standard or drop box mag, etc.

Well if you are looking for a Model 76, I would recommend Cabela's. They had a bunch of Dakota Classics with really plain wood and no iron sights and there are still a few new rifles available for $3,000. I bet that is pretty close to what an action would cost assuming you could find one.

Dakota has set up exclusive regional agreements with select dealers. There is now only one dealer in my state that handles Dakota firearms. One can buy an action through a dealer, but the dealer sets his own price. Dakota would not quote me an MSRP. However, I was told by a reliable source, that Dakota's 2016 price sheet shows an MSRP for a standard 76 at $2395. Dealers are not supposed to sell to customers outside of their region.

I spoke to the Dakota rep at the NRA annual meeting. He said to call to order. They even allow custom serial numbers. I did not discuss price. There are many options. I think the rep said that there are about 30 total employees. Norma still bones around for an occasional visit.
