Swift A-Frame 275gn 338 is a good performer when you want a heavy bullet that is also balistically efficient. However, I didn't manage to get a lot better than 2500fps, but I only tried a couple of powders. So I ended up deciding that the 250gn Swift A-Frame, or the 250gn Woodleigh PPSN, or the 250gn Nosler Accubond at 2700fps would be better choices for longer shots, and if I really wanted a heavier bullet the 300gn Woodleigh RNSN would be a great choice, as I can push that out of my 338 Win Mag at 2500fps.

I found a partial box of those 275 gn Speer bullets. I think there were 38 left in the box IIRC for $10. They appear to be quite a thumper and shoot fairly accurate.

I can vouch for the Woodleigh PP in 250gr. They are accurate and very consistant performers. It has been my favorite bullet for the .338WM for several years. Nate

That's all I load for the bushveld out to 150m, in my 338wm. 2450ft/s .7" groups. Perfect performance, nothing from Kudu to impala has gone more than 15y.
Cheers Johan
