I was just looking in the Federal 2004 catalog and noticed they had a new bullet for 7mm/08 in 2004. They are now loading a 140 grain Nosler Solid Base BT. According to their website it seems to have a flatter trajectory than the 140 partition I am currently using (it is very similar in trajectory to the 140 grain Ballistic Tip). Where does this bullet fall as far as expansion when compared to the Ballistic Tip and Partition? Second, I have a new .300 Win Mag that I want to try the Accubonds in. I am debating between the 180 grain and 200 grain bullets. This gun will primary be used for elk (most shots under 300 yds). Assuming they shoot similarly, which would be the better bullet? Figured I would post this in a couple places to see everyone's opinions. Thanks in advance. Brett

Well for me, the reason to go to a magnum is bigger bullets & since elk is the quarry, I'ld go 200gr.

blong04, Ever try the 190 grain hornadys in your 300 win? They shoot and perform wonderfully in a couple of my 06s.

Dunno about "performance," but those 190 grain Hornady BTSPs shoot beautifully in my .300 Weatherby. Same with the Speer 200 grain hot core spitzer.

Just as a thought-The 180gr 30 cal. Hornady Interbonds will be out next month. I also use to use the 190gr Hornady but in a BTHP in a 300.
