Been thinking of picking up one of these for my wife for an upcoming moose hunt. They are stainless, short, fairly light and relatively inexpensive.
Can anyone offer feedback on this rifle?

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

i assume you have held one, so you know what they are. i hunt with a fellow who bought one just as you described. his shoots both 150s and 180s on less that 1.3" groups. he shoots only factory ammo and one box of federal premium with 180gr partitions shot right at 1" groups, which is the load he hunts with now. he hasn't mentioned any function issues, and he did kill 3 whitetails with it last season. rugers are well built and while some might need a little work (but then doesn't almost every rifle) to shoot moa, they are dependable and will last a lifetime. i'd say get her the gun and enjoy the hunt.
