Has anybody hunted/used the .375 H&H made by Weatherby? I'm debating between the CZ 550 and the Fibermark from Weatherby. Any input would be appreciated.

I have that rifle in a stainless synthetic. I put a McMillan Lazzeroni thumbhole stock on it, and glass bedded it.

I like the safety more than I like any other safety on any other rifle.

I also added the Weatherby extended magazine to it.

If you like it is great!

I am familar with 8 different Weatherby synthentic Safari rifles.

They are issue rifles for Dangerous Animal Control.

All of them have been accurate and have functioned 100%.

I have owned and shot several different Weatherby rifles, I hunted with them for many years, and I have never encountered a bad one.

Now I prefer the Blaser R 93, but a Weatherby has never let me down.

In fact, a Synthentic Weatherby in 458 Win Mag.
saved my life.

I would bet my life on a Weatherby just as much as any other rifle/action out there.

I bought a .375 H&H chambered Weatherby Weathermark Alaskan maybe 6 years ago. Is a nickel/synthetic made in Japan. Stock is not the traditional Weatherby shape. Which is good! Makes recoil much more pleasant. Put a 3-9x Zeiss Conquest on it.

Darned rifle was amazingly accurate. It has shot a .284" group at 100 yards with 235 Speers at almost 3000 fps. (Great bullets for paper ... lousy for game.) Rifle shoots 270 gr Barnes X bullets well.

Only problem with it is that the fired cases have to be trimmed regularly otherwise it will stick them.

Made a gift of the rifle to a good friend after I acquired a Win M70 SS Classic in the same chambering. He had quite a smile on his face Wink
