I have a 300 wby with a 1:12 twist. Anyone one have any experience with Barnes TSX with this twist? These are long bullets, I'd like to do 180g but I suspect 165 might be the heaviest that will shoot well. Anyone have any experience?

I have two 12 twist 300's that I had made for 180 grain lead core bullets. When I had to switch to copper (CA) I went with the 150 grain TTSX. They are very accurate even to 600 yards, but require more wind compensation and do not drop deer as fast. I went from using H1000 with the 180's to H4831sc with the 150's. I have been wondering if the 175 LRX would work but do not want to spend fifty bucks and lots of time and risk it not working.

Thanks Doug, I think I'll try 150s and 165s.

Am just finishing load development with 300HH and the 175 LRX. BOTH RL22 andH4831 around 71 0 seem to be the ticket.
