It's tempting, especially since I'll be at this store in three days. Smiler

Just don't let Bass Pro mount the scope for you.

Pretty rifle. Bad Mounts.

I have a 308 pre-64 M-70 FWT in a Rimrock stock, and it may be the perfect light rifle. But $950 is steep unless it's an investment. Gunsamerica.com has shooter/donors for considerably less money.

I think it's a bit high. I only paid $600 for mine. Now if it was a .358 Win., I'd be all over it like stink on shit.

To high on that Winchester. For that kind of money for a .308 you should look at Steyr SSG P-II.That is if you more interested in a .308,not a pre 64 Winchester.

Forest,
So that's the Bass Pro method... Big Grin Big Grin

That rear base looks great!!!! LOL

Fusino,
There were some nice pre 64's at the Austin show last month. Real nice condition but priced at about $1200. Seems that the pre 64 guns have all of a sudden gone up in price around these parts with condition being everything. If that .308 is in near mint condition and....you really want it....it might not be that bad of a deal.
If you go to the Austin gun show stop by my table and say hello. By the way...Mcbrides had about 10 of these last week but sold about 7-8 the same day. He did have a 300HH and a 375HH left..last I heard.
